ERIKS acquires the activities of AMG Pesch GmbH & Co. KG, Cologne (Germany)
As per December 22, 2010, ERIKS has concluded a preliminary agreement with the provisional
insolvency administrator of AMG Pesch GmbH & Co. KG regarding the acquisition of the main assets
and commercial activities of AMG Pesch, Cologne (Germany). The agreement provides for a takeover
of activities with effect from 01.01.2011 and was concluded subject to the approval of the Federal
Cartel Office, which is expected shortly.
The activities of AMG Pesch comprise the construction, design, manufacture, marketing and sale of
high-quality pneumatic valve actuators, special valves, standard valves and assemblies in the field of
fluid technology. The company’s customers are original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and end
users, particularly in the segments of chemicals, energy, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering,
food technology and pump and plant construction.
In addition to the company headquarters in Cologne, other sites are operated in Merseburg (Germany)
and in Nanjing (China). AMG Pesch is supported by a reliable team of around 90 employees, wideranging
expertise, many years of experience, a mature and extensive product range and the latest
technology in the field of shut-off technology. These factors have made the company one of
Germany’s leading providers in this industry.
This acquisition represents a clear expansion of the market position of ERIKS Germany in the field of
fluid technology. The activities of AMG Pesch will be integrated into the existing structures of the
ERIKS network in Germany as a Core Competence Center, allowing ERIKS to continue on its course
of completing its product range and focusing on innovative technology-oriented market activities.
